![]() As for storage, i'm using 16tb in RAID 0 connected via USB-C. It is upgradable, and Apples prices for the RAM upgrades are ridiculous, so you are better buying the 8gb and upgrading to what you need in the future. The RAM on the otherhand I picked 8gb, which is what I had in my old server. Remember that the SSD is soldered in, so you are stuck with the HDD you first buy it with (plus the T2 security chip limits tampering from what I understand). While I doubt I would fill up the 128, it's too much of a pain in the ass to manage space on the OS drive if I did get close to the 128. I was going to go with the i3 with the i7 upgrade, but the Apple sales person said I would have been better of with the i5 and the 256gb SSD compared to an i7 with 128gb. I bought the i5 version, as from the youtube videos I had watched mentioned that the i3 just wasn't good enough (Though I would imagine it would have been better than my 2011). My last server was a 2011 Mac Mini which was still running perfectly fine, but it couldn't update to Mojave so I decided it was time when they finally announced the new one. I've had the new Mac Mini running my plex server for a little while now and I am happy with it.
